FloatCalc+ is a calculator that floats over any app, with a currency converter and a unit converter in the same window. Work out a discount on a shopping page, convert a price while you travel, or check a number in a spreadsheet — without leaving the app you are in.

WHAT IT DOES

• Floating calculator over any app with the usual keypad and a live result as you type. Drag it anywhere, or shrink it to a small icon at the edge of the screen

• Select a number in any app and tap "Calculate with FloatCalc+", or paste it from the ⋮ menu

• Currency converter with 30+ currencies. Rates come from the European Central Bank, refreshed daily and cached for offline use

• Unit converter: length, weight, temperature, area, volume, speed and time, with the same keypad

• Percentages work like a phone calculator: 100+10% = 110

• The expression stays on screen after "=". Tap it to edit, long-press the result to copy

• Calculation history

• Open it from the Quick Settings tile, a home screen widget or the notification

GETTING STARTED

1. Open FloatCalc+ and allow "Display over other apps" when asked.

2. Turn on the floating calculator in the app, or from the Quick Settings tile or the widget.

3. It stays on top of other apps. Tap the arrow to shrink it to an icon.

FAQ

Q. The calculator does not appear over other apps.

A. Android needs the "Display over other apps" permission. Turn it on for FloatCalc+ in your phone's Settings → Apps.

Q. How do I calculate a number I see in another app?

A. Select the number, then choose "Calculate with FloatCalc+" from the text menu (on some phones it is under ⋮). The calculator opens with that number.

Q. How current are the exchange rates?

A. They are the European Central Bank reference rates, updated once a day. Settings shows the last update date and lets you refresh.

Q. Does it work offline?

A. The calculator and unit converter always work offline. Currency conversion uses the last rates you downloaded.
