NREGA Mobile Monitoring System

The NREGA Mobile Monitoring System (NMMS) is a digital initiative launched in FY 2021-22 to enhance transparency and accountability in the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) program. This mobile application enables real-time attendance tracking of MGNREGA workers at worksites through geotagged photographs, providing an efficient and reliable monitoring mechanism. By implementing this technology-driven solution, the system strengthens citizen oversight of the program while ensuring accurate documentation of worker attendance. The NMMS app represents a significant step forward in bringing greater transparency to the implementation of MGNREGA schemes through digital means.
