Switch SMS: Texting & Themes

Switch SMS is a default SMS messaging app for Android — a texting app that replaces your built-in messages app for SMS, MMS, and group texts, with themes, spam protection, and a smarter inbox.

Coming from Samsung Messages? Set Switch as your default SMS app and every conversation appears instantly: no transfer, no lost history, no duplicates.

🛡️ SPAM & SCAM PROTECTION

- On-device spam scoring — no message content is sent to any server for filtering

- Warns you about common scam-text patterns, like fake delivery-fee and unpaid-toll texts or look-alike sender names

- Report spam texts to your carrier (7726) in one tap

- Clean Sweep: bulk-clear old promotional texts in one action, with undo

- Verification-code messages are never auto-blocked

📅 A SMARTER INBOX

- Automatic categories: personal, verification codes, promotions, system

- Bill reminders and package tracking from texts you already receive — on your phone, not in the cloud

- Optional organizer for bank and transaction alerts you already receive: totals and history stay on your device

- Snooze a conversation and get reminded later; see which messages are still waiting on a reply

🎨 THEMES & CUSTOMIZATION

- 150+ themes across multiple packs, plus animated and live-wallpaper styles

- Per-conversation themes, custom fonts, bubble styles, wallpapers, and message effects

- AI theme generation — describe a look, get a design

💬 MESSAGING TOOLS

- SMS, MMS, group messages, photos, videos, voice messages, attachments

- Scheduled and recurring sends, message templates, quick copy for verification codes

- Export conversations as PDF • Home-screen widgets • Wear OS companion

- VIP contacts with Do Not Disturb bypass • Drive Mode auto-reply with compatible car Bluetooth

- Light on battery — background work only when needed

🤖 AI FEATURES IN THIS APP

Optional, clearly labeled AI features: Smart Reply suggestions; Compose (rewrite a draft as formal, casual, or concise); Translation with one tap; Conversation Summary for long threads; theme generation; voice-to-text transcription of received audio.

Smart Reply and on-device Translation work without an internet connection. Compose, Summary, Theme Generation, Transcription, and cloud Translation are powered by Google Gemini and require a connection — message content is sent only when you tap an AI action. AI output is labeled in-app and can be reported in one tap.

☁️ BACKUP & SYNC

- Optional encrypted backup and multi-device sync using your own Google Drive account — you hold the keys

💎 PRO

Most features are free. Pro unlocks premium theme packs, removes ads, and expands selected AI features. Available as monthly, 3-month, or annual subscriptions, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Pricing is shown in the app.

🔒 PRIVACY & DATA HANDLING

- Messages and contacts are stored locally on your device by default

- Spam filtering, categories, bill and package cards, and the transaction-alert organizer all run on-device

- Optional cloud AI features are powered by Google Gemini (see above)

- Free version may display ads provided by Google AdMob

- PIN-protected private conversations • We do not sell personal data
