Add a countdown for a trip, a wedding, a baby due date, a birthday, an anniversary, a move — Soonish keeps the days remaining at a glance, sorted nearest-first. One-time, yearly, weekly or monthly recurrence.

Add a cover photo to any event: it fills the detail screen behind the day count, and the 4x2 widget with Plus. No storage permission, nothing uploaded.

One-tap public holidays for 13 countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the US, the UK, France, Ireland, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Poland, Canada and Australia. Each rolls forward to its next occurrence.

School-holiday packs (Plus)

School breaks across 10 countries and 100 regions: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Czechia and Slovakia. Every region carries all its breaks — winter, Easter, Pentecost, summer, autumn and Christmas.

Share a countdown with anyone

Send a countdown as a link. It opens live in any browser — the date rides in the link itself, so no server ever holds your dates. Anyone with Soonish gets it in the app.

A proper ending

When a countdown passes, keep counting: one tap turns "3 days until the trip" into "3 months since the trip".

No nags, ever

Reminders are optional and off by default — the only alerts are ones you set. Plus adds a pinned notification for your soonest countdown: silent, off unless you switch it on. No streaks, no engagement loops.

Privacy by default

Your dates stay on your phone. No accounts, no analytics SDKs, no trackers, no advertising ID. Optional Plus sync writes to a cloud folder you pick — Nextcloud, Drive, Dropbox. Android holds that folder permission, not Soonish; cover photos never sync, and sync only runs while Soonish is open. The widget works fully offline.

Free is fully usable: the four cycles, the widget, story-card sharing, and up to 10 countdowns. Plus is one unlock (CHF 4.90 / €4.99 / $4.99, never a subscription) that lifts the cap and adds groups, widget themes, holiday and school-break packs, photo widgets, milestone moments, and wordmark-free story cards.
