RingBar: Battery Ring & Notch

RingBar turns the camera hole at the top of your screen into something useful. A ring around the camera shows your battery, a thin bar along the top shows your downloads, and a small capsule grows out of the camera to show music, timers and more.

RING AND BAR

• A battery ring that sits exactly around your camera, lined up for your phone.

• A download bar along the top of the screen that fills as files download.

• Use one, the other, or both. Each has its own size, position and colours.

• Works with punch-hole cameras, in the middle or the corner.

26 STYLES, ANY COLOUR

• Pick from 26 styles, from a clean thin line to dots, ticks, waves and moving styles like Orbit, Comet and Shine.

• Colour it your way: one solid colour, Steps that change colour as the level drops, or a smooth Blend.

• Choose an animation that plays while your phone charges.

CAPSULE (BETA)

A small black capsule grows out of the camera when something is happening, and opens when you hold it.

• Music and video: the song, the cover, and play, pause and skip.

• Charging and low battery, downloads, timers, stopwatches and alarms.

• Calls, directions, screen recording, earbuds, flashlight, volume and more.

• Choose what each tap, hold and swipe does.

Capsule is new. Some types depend on what your phone maker allows, so not every type works on every phone yet.

GLOW

A soft light around the camera or along the edge of the screen when a notification comes in. Give each app its own colour so you know who it is before you look.

TRY ANYTHING FOR FREE

The Classic style and a solid colour are always free. Watch one short ad to use any other style or feature for 24 hours, or get RingBar Pro once to unlock everything for good and remove all ads.

LIGHT ON BATTERY

RingBar only redraws when something changes, so a still ring uses almost no battery.

PRIVACY

• RingBar uses Android's Accessibility service only to find your camera and draw the ring, bar and capsule above the status bar, and to hide them in full-screen video and games if you choose. It does not read your screen, your messages or what you type.

• If you allow notification access, RingBar uses it to show downloads, what is playing, timers and the Capsule and Glow. Nothing it reads is saved or sent off your phone.

• Crash reports are off until you turn them on.

• Ads are served by Google AdMob. Pro removes them.
