BarCode QR Reader scans QR codes and barcodes with your camera and shows what is inside before anything opens.

Point the camera at a code. The result screen shows the content and lets you open, copy, or share it. Links, contacts, Wi-Fi networks, PDF links, app store links, and product barcodes are each recognized and handled the right way.

What you can do

• Scan 13 code formats: QR Code, Data Matrix, Aztec, PDF417, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 93, Code 39, Codabar, and ITF.

• Check a link first. Web addresses appear on the result screen, including ones that start with www or are just a domain such as example.com or example.co.kr. Tap Open to continue in your browser.

• Add contacts. Open a contact card (vCard) in your Contacts app.

• Join Wi-Fi. Connect to a network from its QR code, or turn auto-connect off to see the network name and password and copy them.

• Look up products. Search the web for the number on a barcode.

• Copy or share any result with one tap.

Auto-open, your way

Tap the gear icon at the top right to open Settings. For each type (links, PDF links, app store links, contacts, Wi-Fi, and barcodes), choose whether it opens right after a scan or waits on the result screen. By default, contacts and Wi-Fi open right away and everything else waits. You can also switch auto-open on or off from a result screen with the checkbox.
