  - glTF and GLB on iOS, macOS and visionOS (#4889). ModelNode.load("models/fox.glb") now opens glTF 2.0 with SceneViewSwift's own importer, with no third-party dependency. It works through the same call as USDZ, with the URL and remote variants too. The importer reads GLB, .gltf with its .bin and images next to it, and data: URIs. It brings in the node hierarchy, metallic-roughness materials with their textures, alpha modes, unlit, texture transforms, skins and animations; the animation…

  - Screened Poisson reconstruction for 3D scans (#4630). The Android demo's scan module gains a second on-device reconstruction, in pure Kotlin. It solves a screened Poisson equation over the scan's oriented surfels on a sparse grid, then writes the result into the same TSDF that marching cubes and the GLB export already read. Small gaps between seen surfaces close; large unseen areas stay open. The model still uses the fused TSDF by default; the end-of-scan sheet that offers the choice…

  - Demo app: 3D Scan can scan one part again and add it to a copy of the scan (#4736). "Re-scan this part" now starts a live scan of that part. The new session is lined up on the first scan from its floor and walls, then refined point to plane, with no cloud service. Once it is lined up, the part is framed in amber on the camera and a line says how much of it is filled. On saving, the re-scan's points are added inside the part to a copy of the scan, kept as a new scan; the original stay…

  - Demo app: tap a piece of furniture in a scan's replay to read its size (#4485). In the replay of a Room Scan, a single tap on an object lights the points it is made of, draws a box round it and writes its length, depth and height in metres next to it. A tap on another object picks that one; a tap on the floor, on a wall or in the void clears it. The room stops turning by itself as soon as a finger touches it, and does not start again while a box is shown — a double-tap still reframes…

  - An AR session that never starts because the phone's gyroscope is silent says so (#4522). A gyroscope that stops delivering samples leaves ARCore in PAUSED with reason NONE on every frame, over a live camera image: no exception, no failure callback, and a "Getting ready" card that never leaves. arsceneview gains probeARMotionSensors(context), which listens to the gyroscope and the accelerometer for one second and returns both event counts as an ARMotionSensorSample, whose health is th…

  - Demo app: a .rrd exported from the Android Rerun demo now opens on a default layout in the Rerun viewer: the room in 3D beside the camera's photos, side panels collapsed. It is a default blueprint, so a layout you saved still wins. The iOS export does not write it yet.

  - Website: the home page is rebuilt around a live 3D stage (#4308). The hero shows the CC0 Toy Car on a studio stage: a poster first, then the live SceneView Web render on desktop, and on a phone only after "…

  - Android: a rendered frame no longer calls onFrame on every plain node of the scene (#4451). SceneView and ARSceneView handed each frame to every root, and Node.onFrame recurses into every child: one virtual call, one time-step computation and one child iteration per node and per frame, for a tree where most nodes have nothing to do. Each scene now walks its tree once, keeps the calls that walk made — a smooth transform to advance, an onFrame callback or a library hook to invoke — in…

  - The hand-written web viewer (sceneview.js) gains a transparent canvas, a camera API and render on demand (#4301). SceneView.create(canvas, { transparent: true }) clears to alpha 0 so the page shows behind the model. getCameraOrbit(), setCameraOrbit({ angle, height, radius, target, fov }) and frameModel({ fill }) replace poking private fields; the setters are chainable, and frameModel({ fill: 0.8 }) keeps the model within 80 % of the view, in height and in width, at every angle of the…

  - Android TV demo: a remote-driven model gallery (#3869).
  - ◀ ▶ picks one of 10 credited models, ▲ ▼ zooms, and OK hands the D-pad to the 3D stage to orbit the camera.
  - Focus is visible from the sofa: the focused card scales up with a primary ring and glow, and the stage is framed while it holds the D-pad.
  - android.software.leanback is declared required="false", as the Play TV checks ask.

  - Cosmos demo: the Voyage (#4220). The Cosmos demo now opens on a cinematic camera tour that loops through the galaxy, the particle collision, the flow field and the ringed star system, joined by hyperspace jumps. It starts on its own: a touch hands the camera back and a drag orbits it, and after 8 s idle the voyage jumps on; a scene picked in the dock plays its own shot after 4 s. The choreography is a portable keyframe table.
