METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.2

Developed by KONAMI, this collection’s main appeal is bringing key chapters of the Metal Gear story together with material that adds context beyond each campaign. Players planning to download METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.2 can revisit tactical missions, character-driven stories, and music from across the series. The collection’s main contents are outlined below.

• Includes Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

• Features the HD Collection edition of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

• Adds Metal Gear: Ghost Babel as a handheld bonus title.

• Provides Screenplay Books and Master Books for both main games.

• Contains Digital Soundtrack Vol.2 with music and vocal tracks.

Stealth missions built around planning

METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.2 centers on stealth infiltration rather than direct combat. Missions place players in hostile areas where staying unseen, watching enemy movement, and choosing the right moment to act are often more important than rushing forward. This approach gives each area a deliberate pace, especially for players who enjoy observing patrol routes before moving.

Campaigns begin from the main menu through the New Game option, then develop through story-led objectives. When a situation goes wrong, players can adjust their approach instead of relying on a single solution. Progress can be preserved from the pause menu by selecting Save and creating a new save slot, which is useful before difficult encounters or unfamiliar mission sections.

Metal Gear Solid 4 and Peace Walker together

METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.2 includes Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and the HD Collection version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. These games offer different parts of the wider saga, making the package particularly useful for players following its characters and story continuity. Metal Gear Solid 4 focuses on a later chapter in the series, while Peace Walker expands the events around its own central mission and cast.

Both games retain the series’ mix of careful movement, enemy avoidance, and mission objectives. A player may spend one moment finding a safe route past guards, then shift to a more urgent situation when an objective changes. The paired games make this collection better suited to longer-term fans than to players seeking a single short stealth adventure.

Books and soundtrack add story context

METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.2 includes more than playable games. Each main title comes with a Screenplay Book and a Master Book, giving players extra material about the plot, world, and characters. These additions are valuable after a major story scene, when a reader wants more context without needing to search outside the collection.

The included Metal Gear Solid: Digital Soundtrack Vol.2 also gathers game music and vocal tracks. It works as a separate companion feature rather than something that interrupts gameplay, so players can browse it when they want to revisit memorable themes. The books and soundtrack give the package an archival feel, especially for those interested in how the series presents its story.

Ghost Babel and returning-player rewards

METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.2 also includes Metal Gear: Ghost Babel as bonus content. This handheld-era title gives fans another way to explore the series’ stealth ideas in a more compact format. It is a meaningful extra for players who want more than the two headline games and enjoy seeing a different entry from the franchise’s history.

Returning players can receive cosmetic rewards when eligible Vol.1 save data is found under the same account and on the same console. Metal Gear Solid 4 can unlock Gold Camouflage, while Peace Walker can grant the GOLD uniform. These rewards are optional and do not replace the main content, but they provide a small recognition for players who already own the earlier collection.
