Lemniscate Clock

The Lemniscate Clock is a unique astronomical 24-hour clock that beautifully visualizes the sun and the moon on a dynamic, figure-eight (lemniscate) dial.

The Shape of Time

Watch the day unfold in perfect harmony with nature. The top loop of the clock displays the daytime hours, while the bottom loop shows the nighttime hours. The size of these loops dynamically changes depending on the season: the day loop expands in the summer and shrinks in the winter. Sunrise and sunset perfectly intersect at the center of the loops.

Interactive Time Travel

Any time and date can be simulated by simply swiping across the screen. Swipe the top half of the screen to change the time, and the bottom half to change the date. Discover cosmic rhythms and explore solar relationships at any hour and day of the year for any location in the world. You can also sit back and watch the simulation run automatically as an animation.
