Khat: Learn Arabic Calligraphy

Khat is the easy, fun way to improve your Arabic handwriting and master the basics of Arabic calligraphy. It teaches both Ruq'ah (خط الرقعة) and Naskh (خط النسخ) letter by letter with guided on-screen strokes, then trains you on letters, words, sentences, numbers and letter connections at your own pace, on a phone or tablet, with your finger or a stylus.

WHY KHAT

• Practical handwriting improvement: trace each letter's path with instant feedback whenever your stroke drifts off

• Two core scripts: fast, everyday Ruq'ah and the clear, readable Naskh used in books and the Quran

• A logical progression: single letters, then words and sentences, then ligature "ladders" and numbers

• Your own sentence: type any text and practice it in the script you choose

• Daily challenges that refresh every day, plus tournaments against real learners

• Badges, streaks, points and a weekly leaderboard to keep you motivated

• School homework: teachers can assign challenges to their students, shown with a School Challenge badge

• An ink and paper shop to personalise your writing board

• Fully bilingual: Arabic and English
