HIMA

1. Primary intention of app is monitoring of timberline by collecting data points from fields across the Himalayan region.

2. These points may be contributed by our researchers and any enthusiasts/traveler visiting high altitudes.

3. Along the time scale, repeat visits to previously collected data points provides a comparison through photographic evidences. A status may be determined by such comparisons of two time periods.

4. Besides the primary objective, use in other scientific purposes such as (a) evidences of species response (phenology, occurrences), (b) as input to habits predictions, (c) development of phonological calendar and isotherms in instrument deficit areas

5. Finally, this app can provide crucial data of any landscape on or during most common disasters of mountains - landslide, forest fire, and floods.
