OLED Control: LG TV Remote

OLED Control is a TV remote control for LG webOS that also reaches the settings your remote hides. Switch auto-dimming, open the service menu and tune picture, HDR and gaming from your phone.

Auto-dimming: TPC and GSR

• Brightness Limiter (TPC) and Global Sticky Reduction (GSR), one switch each, on OLED models from 2020 (CX) on

• Both protect the panel; turning them off raises the risk of burn-in

• The TV doesn't report their state, so the app shows your last setting

Service menu without a service remote

• Open EZ Adjust and InStart from your phone; the TV asks for its service PIN

• HDMI Signalling Override (EOTF, colorimetry, HDR metadata) on webOS 26 firmware

Picture and HDR

• Picture mode, OLED Pixel Brightness, contrast, black level, color, sharpness, motion and AI picture

• Dynamic Tone Mapping (On, Off, HGiG), and DTM Pro from 2024

• White balance (2, 10 or 22 points) and color management

• Save presets and apply a whole setup in one tap

Gaming

• Prevent Input Delay, VRR & G-Sync, FreeSync, Black and White Stabilizer

• 4:4:4 Pass Through, QMS-VRR, 144/165 Hz mode and Quick Frame Transport where the model has them

Everyday control

• Remote control over your home Wi-Fi: power, volume, channels, D-pad, Home, Back, inputs and apps

• Turn the TV on over Wi-Fi (its "Turn on via Wi-Fi" option)

• Two Home Screen widgets

Model support

The app reads each model's year and webOS release and hides settings it lacks. Checked on a real 2025 G5 and against firmware for the 2019 C9, 2021 C1 and 2026 G6.

The remote, app launcher and widgets of OLED Control work without Premium. Picture, gaming, service menu and presets need Premium: Weekly $2.99 or Lifetime $19.99, a one-time purchase. Prices in US dollars; Google Play shows your local price. Subscriptions renew until you cancel them in Google Play.
