Deaf & Hearing Chat

What is Chat to the deaf? It's an innovative app designed to bridge the communication gap between deaf and hearing individuals. Leveraging Google's powerful Text-to-Speech (TTS) and speech recognition technologies, it seamlessly converts written text into audio and vice versa, in real time.

How does it work?

Instant chat: Type a message, and the app will read it aloud for your hearing partner.

Speech recognition: The app listens to your hearing partner's speech and displays it as text on the screen.

Personalization: Create your list of frequently used phrases for quicker and smoother conversations.

Complete Accessibility: Rotate the app for better audio quality and customize the experience:

Louder Audio: Increase the volume for improved comprehension.

Custom Speed: Adjust the speed of the synthesized voice.

Larger Text: Enlarge the text size for easier viewing.

Tips for optimal use

Short sentences: Use simple and concise sentences for better understanding.

Speak slowly: Articulate words clearly to facilitate speech recognition.

Offline mode: Performance may vary depending on the device. You may need to download the language for offline speech recognition.

Chat to the deaf is the perfect tool to break down communication barriers and create a more inclusive world.
