A fresh new look: a new app icon, a clearer home screen with the most important things up front, colour-coded settings and an updated dark theme. Everything works as before.

AppBright is now free with a small ad banner at the bottom. Your rules still stay on your phone and are never sent anywhere. New: ad privacy settings in Settings.

  • Fixed: stopping monitoring while you switched apps could leave the screen at the rule's brightness and keep the screen awake.
  • Fixed: rules with a relative change now show their signed change (for example "+20%") on the Home, Apps and editor labels.
  • Fixed: the engine status label in Diagnostics is now translated.

Set a brightness for each app and get your own setting back the moment you leave it. Optional keep-the-screen-on with a safety limit, a separate night brightness, quick search across your rules, and control from the notification or a Quick Settings tile.

A Diagnostics screen checks the accesses and runs a safe brightness test, so you can see it working rather than guess.
