SIX FORMATS

• League phase - one league table for the whole field, opponents drawn from seeding pots, then a play-in and a knockout for the top places

• Swiss - players meet opponents on the same score each round, ranked with Buchholz tiebreaks; fix an old result and later rounds rebuild on their own

• Single elimination - one loss and you are out, with an optional third-place match

• Double elimination - a losers bracket, so nobody goes home after one bad match

• Round robin - everyone plays everyone, once or home and away, with a live league table

• Groups + playoffs - group stage first, then a knockout bracket for the ones who made it

Any number of players from 2 to 256. Byes are handed out evenly, seeding is respected, and the double elimination bracket avoids early rematches.

Draws and points: wherever a table decides, a match can end level, and you set the points for a win, a draw and a loss - 3-1-0 like a football league, 2-1-0 like a chess Swiss. A match can be one game or a best of three, five or seven, scored set by set for tennis, padel, pickleball, table tennis or volleyball, and the higher score sends the winner through.
