BlackTape: Photo Censor & EXIF

Instantly censor license plates, faces, and private details in your photos while permanently purging GPS coordinates and camera metadata in one tap.

BlackTape is a professional, 100% offline photo redactor and EXIF scrubber designed with zero internet permissions, zero server costs, and zero subscription fees.

PERFECT FOR CAR SELLERS & MARKETPLACE LISTINGS

Selling your car on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, Autotrader, or eBay? Mask your license plate with a single swipe of heavy black tape, purge the embedded GPS coordinates that reveal your home address, and share directly to the listing app.

WHY CHOOSE BLACKTAPE?

1. STRICT ZERO-INTERNET PERMISSION

BlackTape does NOT declare the `android.permission.INTERNET` permission in its Android manifest. Your photos never leave your device. Zero analytics, zero ad trackers, zero cloud uploads.

2. PERMANENT EXIF & GPS PURGE

Smartphones embed sensitive metadata in every picture: precise latitude/longitude, device serial number, and timestamp. BlackTape completely scrubs all EXIF tags during export.

3. 3 POWERFUL CENSOR BRUSHES

* Solid Black Tape: Heavy, opaque, unreadable black gaffer tape.

* Pixelate / Mosaic: High-contrast pixel mosaic for faces and documents.

* Gaussian Blur: Soft obfuscation for background objects and sensitive text.

4. 48MP LOSSLESS RENDERING ENGINE

Our 120Hz hardware-accelerated drawing engine maps your touch coordinates with sub-pixel precision directly onto the original 48MP/64MP image. No resolution loss, no compression artifacts.

5. ZERO GALLERY CLUTTER – DIRECT SHARE

No need to save dozens of duplicate edited files to your gallery. Simply redact and tap "Share" to send directly to WhatsApp, Reddit, Instagram, or marketplace apps via secure cached FileProvider.

IDEAL USE CASES:

* Masking car license plates and VIN numbers for online sales.

* Redacting IDs, credit cards, and utility bills before sending.

* Blurring children's and bystanders' faces in public photos.

* Removing location geotags before uploading images to social media.
