What's new in the version 1.5.7

  Updated on Sep 17, 2016

Alite 1.5.7 Fixes the annoying "endless space bug": When you are trapped in space and there's no Ship anymore to control, you will be reset to the title screen after 10s. Another bug regarding saving of trade items was fixed, too. [And 1.5.7 fixes a bug introduced in 1.5.6 which made commanders occasionally reset back to default -- whoops :)]

What's new in the version 1.5.5

  Updated on Aug 28, 2016

Alite 1.5.5 slightly improves the missile firing behavior: They are not fired from the center of the ship anymore, so that they're not so easily destroyed by friendly fire. Moreover, the game should now work for secondary users on multi-user devices.

  Updated on Aug 19, 2016

Alite 1.5.4 comes with two (major) bugfixes:
  1. The accelerometer controls are now stable. Previously, they froze more often than not after resuming a game. Now they work.
  2. Music playback caused a crash on some devices. Fixed now.

  Good hunting, Commanders!

Alite 1.5.3 hides or dims the menus on (most) Android devices (all those running at Android 4.0 or later). Now the buttons are correctly aligned again.
Some devices (like the HUDL 2) have slight problems with the immersion mode, so if you notice that your buttons are off screen, disable immersion in the Display Options.

Reworked the legal system: Anarchies now don't have Vipers anymore; they're rare in Feudals -- and become more frequent, the safer a system gets.
Fixed a texture bug that crashed the game in Galaxy 7.
Made a backup of more advanced commanders in case they are overwritten by autosave (so in short: Your savegames should be ok now. No more losses...)

  Updated on Apr 4, 2016

Added a difficulty level selector. If the game is too difficult in the beginning, set it to an easier level, so that you won't encounter as many enemies.

I have also added an "Alternative Accelerometer" control, because the new accelerometer control does not work on some devices (the Nexus 10 for example). So, if you have problems with the accelerometer control, try the alternative accelerometer control.

There's a bug in Android 5 preventing Alite from starting on some devices. (For more information, see http://alite.mobi). This version works around the bug, so that you can play Alite on Android 5 devices, too.
Occassionally, the accelerometer control of Alite does not work after the first start. I have no clue as to why, but after a phone restart, it works. I'm still investigating...
