Alex Voice Command & Setup

Get more from your smart speaker in minutes.

Alex Voice Command & Setup is an independent guide with 1,400+ voice commands, a setup guide with pictures of your exact speaker, and an Echo Test that checks whether your speaker is listening.

🔊 HEAR ANY COMMAND

Tap the sound wave on any command and the app says it out loud while the waves move, so you know exactly how to phrase it. Star your favourites and find them again in the Activity tab.

🛠 SETUP GUIDE WITH PICTURES

Pick your model from a picture list (Echo Dot, Echo Pop, Echo, Echo Studio, Echo Show, Fire TV and more) and follow clear, animated steps: power, app, adding the device, setup mode and Wi-Fi. Every step shows what you should see and links to a fix if it did not work. Buttons and factory-reset help are included. Works offline.

🎧 ECHO TEST

Put your phone next to your speaker and run a 10-second test. The app says the wake word, listens for a reply and tells you whether your speaker answered. If it did not, it walks you through the fixes. The test only measures how loud the room is. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent anywhere.

💡 LIGHT RING DECODER

Blue, red, orange, yellow, green or purple? See what each light means and what to do about it.

🎬 9 READY-MADE ROUTINES

Morning, Bedtime, Movie Night, Workout, Focus Time, Leaving Home, Dinner Time, Party Mode and Security Check. See every step and the exact phrases to say.

🌍 YOUR LANGUAGE

Use the menus and guides in English, Português, Español, हिन्दी or Français. Say a phrase in your own language and get the English command your speaker understands (on-device translation; a language pack of about 30 MB downloads once).
