DebateMe

DebateMe is where ideas get tested in the open.

Post a theory you believe in. The first person to reply becomes your only challenger. Then the crowd reads both sides and votes with a thumbs up for whoever argued better. The side with more thumbs up wins.

TWO WAYS TO DEBATE

- Long Debate: choose 48, 72 or 96 hours to trade as many arguments as you like. If you have both said everything, you can each tap Finish to close the debate early.

- Quick Debate: 3 rounds (Opening, Rebuttal, Closing), 500 characters each, with a 4-hour clock on every turn. Short, sharp and fast.

Voting stays open during the debate and for 24 hours after it ends.

CHALLENGE ANYONE

- Open someone's profile and tap Challenge to invite them. If they turn it down, the debate opens up so anyone can take it.

- Browse open theories by topic, from Politics and Science to Sports, Music, Film and Gaming.

- Search, see what's most popular, and follow the debates and debaters you care about.

- Share any debate with a link.

CLIMB THE RANKS

- Every win moves you up a level, from Unproven to Grandmaster, with a badge beside your name.

- Higher levels earn more thumbs to give each month.

- See where you stand on the Leaderboard.

TALK IT OUT

- Every debate has a public chat underneath it.

- React to arguments and chat messages with emoji, and tap a reaction to see who gave it.

- Send private messages and follow people to see when they start a new debate.

NEVER LOSE YOUR WORDS

- Save a debate as a draft and finish it later.

- Replies, arguments and chat messages you haven't sent stay as drafts until you post or erase them.

FAIR AND SAFE

- Debate any idea, however unpopular. Attack arguments, not people.

- Report anything that breaks the rules, and block anyone you don't want to hear from.

- Threats, harassment, doxxing, spam and illegal content are removed, and suspended accounts can appeal.

- Delete your account at any time.

ALERTS YOU CONTROL

Turn alerts on or off for replies, challenges, followed debates, new followers, private messages, and reminders when voting or your own debate is about to close.
